Traveling Altar from the Andean region of South America. The cabinet and stand would remain in the Hacienda where it resided and the interior box would travel to villages where there was no real altar or normally scheduled mass. This exuberantly gold leafed unit brought much happiness and devotion to isolated villages in the Andean region of South America. Holler and Saunders found it after its retirement and rescued it from certain decay and abandonment.
