Colonial Revival Center Table from Peru Last Half of the 20th c.
$ 12,000.00
This table is actually perfect as a cocktail/coffee table between two oversized sofas or I have also used it as a center table with four extra large scale wing back chairs around it, If the size of your room permits. I found this table and many other great reconstructions from reclaimed antique wood in a workshop while stumbling around Barranco, Lima, Peru on one of my first buying trips to South America back in the 1970s. In those days in Peru toque de quada (curfew) was common. You had to be off the streets from 10 pm till 5 am or you could be shot on site. However if you were at a party when 10 pm rolled around you had to stay where you were until 5 am…the party must go on! So the reason I say stumbling around is because when I left the party at 5 am this amazing workshop appeared before me like some sort of incredible vision. Many years of working with the owners followed, we became great friends and they continued full speed ahead reviving Spanish Colonial designs.
