Rococo Hall Bench

Rococo style arrived in the Americas in the early 19^th century.  This hall bench is a playful and totally naive attempt at copying the lavish Spanish or Portuguese examples of this style that the indigenous craftsmen would have rarely come in contact with, but was well aware of
